Sparks College makes every effort to assist students in applying for federal financial aid.

In order to be eligible for financial aid at Sparks College, a student must be:

(1) A citizen of the United States or a permanent resident alien attending Sparks College;

(2) A high school graduate from an accredited high school, or have a GED diploma or High School Equivalency Certificate issued by the Superintendent of Education;

(3) In good standing and making satisfactory progress;

(4) Not in default as a borrower or cosigner on a student loan or owing a refund to an educational grant program.

Transfer students must meet the same requirements and submit a Financial Aid Transcript from previously attended school.

FEDERAL PELL GRANT

The Pell Grant is an award that does not have to be repaid. Pell Grants are awarded only to undergraduates who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree. Applying for the Federal Pell Grant is the first step of the financial aid process.

Prospective students may complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid to determine eligibility for part or all of the Pell grant. The FAFSA may be filled out on-line at FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov or may be returned to Sparks for electronic filing.

On-line student loan counseling is available at www.mapping-your-future.org/oslc .

All Federal grants and loans are designated for educational purposes.
