MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTIONIST
![]() |
Medical transcriptionists work in
hospitals, clinics and doctors' offices and type medical reports and
documents. Some opt to work at home and get paid by the page. There is
a critical shortage of qualified medical transcriptionists nationwide.
Salaries range from $8 to $12/hr. Those who pass a Certified Medical
Transcriptionist Exam will earn more than those without a license.
Graduates of Sparks' Medical Transcription program receive hands-on training using actual recordings of medical professionals in actual medical settings. This training is further intensified by an internship in a local hospital or doctor's office. |
