Airframe and Powerplant
Airframe and Power Plant School is a vocational school oriented to the aviation industry. It is obvious that most children dream of piloting and related jobs in the future. The minimum qualifications are just a high school degree and at least one and a half a year in FAA aviation school. The institution acts as a mentor to the aviation skills and training. The specialties offered in airframe and power plant schools are subdivided into two main branches.
- Airframe department: Their work is strictly described to handle the airframe mechanics. This includes all parts of the plane excluding the powered parts and propellers.
- Powerplant: This school of learning focuses on the skills involved in engineering works.
The airframe and powerplant curriculum is awarded recognition using certificates. The minimum experience required by the FAA is at least 18 months. According to FAA records, there are about 200 aviation schools. In all aviation schools, experience is gained through practical work and implementation. Practical skills and competency in all aviation sectors will take 30 months to learn.
The course study entails physics, computer science, mechanical drawing and mathematics. In the employment scene, stiffer restrictions are applied in the vetting process. Being such a competitive field, written and oral examinations are carried out to augment the certifications.
